:: Colin, I don't know of any downwind rating adjustments
:: here in North Carolina. Can you keep the boat upright
:: over 20 without the trapeze and normal size humans? How
:: many?
::
:: ::
:: ::
:: :: :: I recall winning more than one GGYC midwinters in no
:: :: :: trap mode, and that was at 141-144. Kim did pretty well
:: :: :: in Metros early on too. Right now you might even be able
:: :: :: to get 156 without the big jib. Pick a light Delta Ditch
:: :: :: and you'd kick ass. However be warned, I hear they are
:: :: :: going to have downwind ratings this year!
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Can a Wabbit made to go fast (PHRF beater) without the
:: :: :: :: use of the trapeze?
:: :: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Thanks
:: :: ::
:: :: :: :: Jerry
In LoCal the wabbits are not allowed to use the trapeze. Aaron Storm
on Wild Bunch II took 3- firsts in San Diego's Hot Rum regatta last
year. Very Impressive, in a fleet of 174 boats I believe he finished
11th in the Hot Rum. In Newport Beach we won First in Class and Third
over all in the Seal Beach to Dana Point race. We have also done
quite well in the Local races scoring several first to finish in
class as well as winning class. We have also tried something
different, we went with all Aso's. We received permission from PHRF
to go mast head in the lighter wind down south and have done quite
well with our mast head Aso's.
