The bids have been unsealed and the negotiations closed on the site for the 2011 Wabbit Nationals. It was a close competition between venues, and the New York Yacht Club lost out due to poor organizational skills and questionable sailing conditions for its 4th of July regatta. The Royal Bermuda’s bid failed as they wanted us to sail with the Star boats in the Gold Cup; and we could not come to terms with the San Diego Yacht Club. So it appears that the Inverness Yacht Club’s strong bid, coupled with their promised development rights to three miles of wetland in Tomales Bay (subject to BCDC approval) is the clear winner. Subject to a vote of the class. Their proposal is as follows:

MOTELS:
There are a number of motel and B&B accommodations nearby, which we are researching for price and possible group rates. We will inform you
of the possibilities as the list fills out. We could use an idea of how many might like to camp (and which campground), and how many would seek other accommodations, so we can inquire about group rates.
